SOLT Certificate and Approvals

When it comes down to the law, there are many companies, particularly in technology that do NOT have proper approvals and certification for their products. This makes some competitive products actually unsafe and sometimes very dangerous as well as actually illegal. Sadly, those types of other products are often sold throughout the world in more places than you might think and because the approvals are bogus, often there are technical problems and even some major safety issues particularly with power supplies.

Thankfully the SOLT products are all fully approved for the countries we supply and have a proper certificate of the laboratory tests for the respective certifications in different parts of the world, and for the UK currently CE approvals are required - that SOLT has.

There is also a new standard being implemented in the UK called UKCA but that standard has been delayed for a few years currently for some reason that only governments could answer. Suffice to say that the UKCA standards are basically the same as the CE approvals used in Europe.

And also remember that products made for the UK and Europe are generally RoHS compliant. This means that the components and the solder used contains no lead - which some readers will know is toxic and lead poisoning can cause many health issues. Disposal of products ( known as WEEE) is important and all old products we sell from our company we will take back and dispose of at end of life.

Below are the certifications that SOLT currently has, and products have all been properly tested including power supplies. Their equipment certificates are available if required to any potential customer if needed. In the UK we only sell and support properly certified products and that is to ensure the safety of users and the general public. Need the certificate? Just fill in the form below and we'll send it to you:

Thanks for taking the time to check out the approvals as those are very important to ensure high standards that are also safe. Ensuring that companies and the general public are safe is essential. Always check the products that you purchase because failing to do so could be a very big problem later especially if something was to fail at some time and cause injury to someone or damage to the premises. Power supplies are a great example: imagine if a power supply failed in the night and had no certification? Then the insurance company refuses cover? It really IS that important to ensure your company is protected through fully certified products.

Understand that we work in the customers interests for approvals, RoHS and WEEE standards.
